Your Right to Opt Out
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of their personal information. This page explains how to exercise that right and provides a simple way to submit your request.
The CCPA defines "selling" and "sharing" broadly. In addition to exchanging data for money, these terms include making personal information available to third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising, even if no money is exchanged. Activities like using advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or sharing data with ad networks may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under California law.
Important: If you are not a California resident, this specific right may not apply to you. However, you may still have other privacy rights under applicable laws. Please see our Privacy Policy for more information.
What This Means for You
When you exercise your right to opt out, we will stop selling or sharing your personal information with third parties for purposes of cross-context behavioral advertising. This means:
- We will no longer disclose your personal information to advertising partners for targeted advertising purposes.
- We will instruct any third parties to whom we have sold or shared your data in the past to honor your opt-out preference.
- Your choice will be respected for at least 12 months before we ask if you want to opt back in.
Opting out does not mean you will stop seeing ads. It means the ads you see may be less relevant because they will be based on contextual factors (like the content of the page) rather than your personal information.

Other Ways to Submit a Request
In addition to the web form above, you can exercise your right to opt out through the following methods:
- Email: Send your request to [email protected] with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Information." Please include your full name, email address, and any relevant account information.
- Toll-Free Phone: Call us at +1 (555) 123-4567 and follow the prompts for privacy requests.
- Mail: S&R Demand Works, Attn: Privacy, 123 Business Ave, Suite 100, San Francisco, CA 94105.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): If your browser supports it, you can enable the Global Privacy Control signal. We honor GPC as a valid opt-out request for California residents. Simply turn on GPC in your browser settings, and we will treat that as an opt-out from sale/sharing for that device.
Authorized Agents
You may designate an authorized agent to submit an opt-out request on your behalf. If you are an authorized agent submitting a request, please provide:
- Signed permission from the California resident authorizing you to act on their behalf.
- Proof of your own identity as the authorized agent.
- Sufficient information to identify the consumer in our systems (name, email, etc.).
We may contact the consumer to verify your authority or to confirm their identity. Consumers do not need to create an account with us to exercise their rights through an authorized agent.
Verification Process
To protect your privacy and security, we need to verify your identity before processing your opt-out request. Under the CCPA, businesses are not required to verify identity for opt-out requests unless we have a good-faith belief that the request is fraudulent. We will use the information you provide (name, email, etc.) to match you to our records. We will not ask you to create an account or provide unnecessary personal information.
If we cannot verify your identity, we may contact you for additional information. We will aim to respond to all verified requests within 15 business days.
How We Sell or Share Personal Information
In the preceding 12 months, we may have sold or shared the following categories of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising:
- Identifiers: Name, email address, IP address, cookie IDs, device identifiers.
- Internet Activity: Browsing history, interactions with our website, referral URLs.
- Commercial Information: Content downloads, webinar registrations, email engagement.
- Inferences: Lead scores, segments, and propensity models used for ad targeting.
We sell or share this information with advertising networks, data analytics providers, and marketing partners to deliver relevant ads and measure campaign performance. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of minors under 16 years of age.
No Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. This means we will not:
- Deny you goods or services.
- Charge you different prices or rates.
- Provide you with a different level or quality of services.
- Suggest that you may receive a different price or rate for services.
